The title says it all. Corfu Airport is the gateway to the Greek island of Corfu serving arounf 4 million passengers per year. Situated between two hills and the sea, its location is truly unique as its 2360 meters long runway can't be approached by a straight approach path. Due to the scenery, this airport has become one of the most famous plane spotting locations around the globe, so I had to visit this place and I must say: I was impressed how beautiful the surrounding scenery is and how great it looks when the airplanes are landing and taking off in front of this spectacular background.
